Privacy clause AXA DriveXperience

Your personal information is collected for the legitimate purposes of using the Mobile Application.

As an information collector, AXA Belgium manages your personal data (surname, first name, age, alias (username), e-mail address, mileage of your vehicle, score, GPS data and acceleration forces) in compliance with applicable local laws and regulations. AXA Belgium is responsible for processing this data.

The personal information recorded makes it possible to calculate your driving score based on the following components: sudden braking, excessive speed, type of road segment and movement or use of a smartphone while driving.

The AXA DriveCoach mobile application:

• records the following personal data while using the vehicle:
  • date
  • time
  • location (latitude, longitude, altitude)
  • speed
• reads the following sensors:
  • accelerometer
  • barometer
  • gyroscope
  • magnetometer

This data is only used by AXA Belgium for calculating your score, producing statistics or accident research. Geolocation (GPS) is used to provide you with a map view of your journey and to see important events.

In order to offer the most appropriate services in relation to the aforementioned purposes, this personal data is communicated to the back-end teams of Cambridge Mobile Telematics, for the operation of the application, the calculation of the score and the processing of the data. They will only receive the data anonymously.

It may be communicated to other companies of the AXA group as well as to persons or companies linked to them, only within the framework of the purposes described above.

The persons who will have access to personal data will only have access to the data which is essential to them for the processing of this data.

Under Belgian privacy legislation, you can be aware of your rights in terms of the processing of your personal data, consult it, have it corrected, object free of charge to its processing for direct marketing purposes and request the deletion of information about you collected via the Mobile Application by following the procedure described at https://www.axa.be/ab/FR/legal/Pages/clause-vie-privee-detaillee.aspx?filter=2.

Your personal data will be kept by AXA for 18 months from its collection. It will then be anonymised.
