Privacy clause safeguide application

Your email address, username and contract number are collected for the legitimate purpose of using the Mobile Application.

Your email address will only be used to send you a PIN code in case you wish to reconnect to the application after logging out. Your username will not be visible to other users of the application.

As a data collector, A.Belgium manages your personal data in accordance with the applicable local laws and regulations. A.Belgium is responsible for the processing of these data.

These personal data are communicated to the back-end teams of Cambridge Mobile Telematics for the operation of the application. They will only receive the data in an anonymized way.

If you want to know more about the data collected by your vehicle and the processing of this data carried out for the purpose of calculating the scores that will be displayed in the Application, please refer to the clause, which is included in the special conditions of your insurance contract.

What are your rights in connection with the processing of your personal data?

You have the right to consult your data
If A.Belgium has processed your personal data, you have the right to consult them.

You have the right to request for your data to be rectified or erased
You have the right to request for your incorrect or incomplete personal data to be rectified or completed. You have the right to request for your personal data to be erased where this is legally possible.

You have the right to ask for your data to be transferred
In respect of the data which you communicated to A.Belgium as part of an insurance policy, you have the right to:

  • be provided with your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
  • have your data transferred to a different data controller

How to exercise your privacy rights?

You may exercise your rights by completing the online form or by sending a duly signed and dated letter, along with a front and back photocopy of your identity card, stating your name and date of birth in a duly readable manner to the Data Protection Officer: A.Belgium - Data Protection Officer (TRI/884), Place du Tréne 1, 1000 Brussels.
